Our Care Team

Hospice palliative care is aimed at improving the quality of life for persons who are living with or dying from an advanced illness, with a focus on pain and symptom management as well as social, psychological and spiritual support. The care team at Jessica’s House Hospice is here to support the residents and their families during their stay and throughout their bereavement.

Our Care Team involves multiple areas of support.

• Executive Director also a Registered Nurse
• Medical Doctor
• Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses and PSWs
• Volunteers trained in palliative care
• Grief and Bereavement Support
• Community Care partners

Our Facility and Features

As a three-bed hospice, each of our rooms is thoughtfully arranged for privacy and features an ensuite washroom. Every room is crafted to showcase views and provide access to the serene patio area, landscaped grounds, gazebo, and vibrant gardens. We encourage families to bring cherished keepsakes and photos, personalizing the resident rooms to create a comforting and homey atmosphere.

Common Areas

Please, make yourself at home in the welcoming common spaces at Jessica’s House. Our Family Room is bathed in light and features comfortable sofas, a cozy fireplace, and a smart TV for your enjoyment. Feel free to gather in the spacious dining area for shared refreshments and meals. In our well-appointed kitchenette, you'll find a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, as well as dishes and cutlery. For families with little ones, our Children’s Corner awaits with a delightful array of reading books, activity books, puzzles, and more.

Our Gardens

We also invite families and visitors to take in our outdoor gardens. Embrace the covered patio adjoining the family room and outside each of our residents rooms. Delight in shared moments at the picnic table or find respite under the charming gazebo for a touch of shade. Numerous sitting areas are scattered around the stunning flower gardens, all cared by our skilled gardening volunteer team.
