Jessica’s House Hospice believes that our donors are vital to us achieving our vision: “To provide compassionate, high-quality care for residents from the time of diagnosis through their palliative and end-of-life journey”. We commit to the following bill of rights that all donors will have the right:
- To be informed of Jessica’s House Hospice (JHH) mission of the way the Hospice intends to use donated resources and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
- To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organizations governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgement in its stewardship responsibilities.
- To have access to the Hospice’s most recent financial statement.
- To be assured their gifts will be used for the purpose for which they were given.
- To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.
- To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and confidentiality to the extent provided by the law.
- To expect that all relationships with individuals representing JHH will be professional in nature.
- To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees or hired solicitors.
- To have the opportunity for their name to be deleted from mailing lists.
- To feel free to ask questions when donating and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
